Canceled: The Piatigorsky International Cello Festival Live Broadcast

RadioPrograms

Musicians spend months practicing the pieces they’ll take to concert halls, but these days musicians are also being asked to practice patience as health concerns prompt concert cancellations around the world, and right here in our own backyard. The USC Thornton School’s Piatigorsky Festival was set to begin this Friday — and KUSC was going to broadcast the opening gala concert live. But as flying dozens of cellists from across the globe to Los Angeles seemed more and more ill-advised, USC made the difficult decision to cancel the festival. You can read more about the announcement at piatigorskyfestival.usc.edu.

Tickets for the 2020 Piatigorsky International Cello Festival will be refunded automatically via the original payment method by Thursday, March 12 at 5pm. Ticket buyers will receive a confirmation email from the USC Ticket Office showing the cancellation/refund of orders. Please allow 7-10 business days for the refund to process and contact bank or credit card providers for additional information regarding pending transactions. If you paid by check, a check from USC will be mailed in 10-14 business days.
