Lang Lang to Perform Gala One-Handed

Pop CulturePianoLang Lang

Piano superstar Lang Lang has been sidelined in recent months due to an injury to his left arm. He still plans to honor his commitment to play the Opening Night Gala with the Pittsburgh Symphony September 16th through a stroke of creativity. He plans to share the stage with a young piano prodigy named Maxim Lando, 14. The two will perform special arrangements of several familiar pieces, including Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, with Lang Lang playing the part for right hand and Lando performing the left hand part. An elegant solution! Read more about the concert here and here.
