Live Community Chat Guidelines

Help Centercommunity chat

Welcome to our Classical Music Community — a place for respectful discussion about the music we all love.

  • Respectful Communication No hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory language based on gender, religion, ethnicity, sex, or socioeconomic background.

  • Be Kind & Constructive Giving constructive feedback is good. Being unnecessarily mean isn't what we do here. Take time to evaluate your words before posting.

  • No Spam No excessive use of repetitive messages, all caps, or irrelevant content. Don't post in ALL CAPS or use excessive emojis, letters or characters.

  • No Self-Promotion Please don't advertise your own channels or other content. This space is for discussing classical music.

  • Include Everyone We want this community to be safe and welcoming for everyone. Don't do anything that might make someone feel like they don't belong.

  • Respect Different Opinions Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Do not start a fight because their view differs from yours. Just be nice - it's amazing what happens when we're all nice to each other.

  • AI Moderation Our AI moderator "Maestro" helps maintain a respectful environment by reviewing messages. Messages that don't follow guidelines may be hidden to keep our community welcoming.

  • Display Names & Identity Your display name is your persistent identity. You may use our autogenerated classical names or create your own. To ensure our community remains safe and inclusive, inappropriate account names that violate our guidelines are strictly prohibited. Names must not include hate speech, sexual references, personal attacks, or private information.

By joining, you agree to follow these guidelines and understand that violations may result in message removal or account restrictions. For details on how Maestro securely processes chat messages, please review our Privacy Policy.

Live Community Chat Display Name Policy

Classical California's Display Name Policy explains the rules for chat display names. Users control their identity, with an auto-assigned classical-music name as default. Banned: slurs, harassment, sexual content, personal info, and staff impersonation. Maestro, the AI moderator, screens names in real time, blocking bad names at creation, forcing resets when violations slip through, and issuing suspensions for severe cases like threats or hate speech.
